Harper Prize at Journal of Ecology

Our conditional mutualism paper published last year in Journal of Ecology has been shortlisted for Harper Prize. We used a heuristic model to gauge whether an interaction between oaks and rodent in Central Europe is beneficial for the plants or not. And, despite quite an increase in germination rates of dispersed seeds, our estimates implied that oaks would be better off rodents. Which is unpopular opinion 😉
